Superior Camera Club
January Meeting Minutes 2010
President Bob Lahti called the meeting to order and
welcomed many visitors.
-Bob also gave many tips for shooting, such as hanging a large bean bag over your lens on your tripod to steady it, storing your extra tiny camera parts in an ice cube tray, and letting your camera warm up slowly if it’s been out in the cold to prevent damaging your camera.
- Thank you to Deb Carroll for taking Jane’s place as N4C Contemporary chairperson and thank you Jane for all your years of work!
-Thanks to those who helped judge N4C on January 18th.
-Small slideshow on Yosemite was presented by six of our members.
-The church wants to charge $700/year for our club to meet there, Bob made the decision to offer them $350 and we still have not heard back from them.
-Handouts on the table for the judging criteria for local competition.
-Joe spoke about the May Print & Slide show; up to 10 total entries are allowed for each member.
-Brian presented his Walt’s Grab Bag photos for his topic, “yellow.”
